FAITH ALIVE: Theology of the Body
October 1, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
An event every month that begins at 7:00 pm on day First of the month, repeating until November 5, 2020
As young Catholics attending a secular university, it’s easy to see how quickly we can become overwhelmed by the pressure to accept ideologies and viewpoints that are contrary to God’s plan for us. That being said, we are called to love one another as Christ has loved us. How can we do that within the hook-up, same-sex attraction, contraceptive culture without compromises our morality? How can we do this lovingly, and more importantly, why does it matter at all? A radical idea takes radical love, the kind you find on the Cross - no one said it would be easy, but the reward is what you were made for! Join us during the 2020-2021 school year to hear from speaker Sarah Gomez in a six part series about Pope John Paul the Great’s Theology of the Body and how it applies to our culture today.

Sarah Gomez is international Catholic speaker who speaks to teens and young adults about a variety of Catholic Church teaching, but specializes in Pope John Paul II’s Theology of the Body and everything under its umbrella. Through engaging storytelling and references to Sacred Scripture and Church doctrine, Sarah has the ability to bring the hidden treasures of the Faith alive to young people everywhere. Host of the Sarah Gomez Speaks podcast on Apple Podcasts and Spotify, she often uses her own experiences straying from and then, by the grace of God, returning to the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Faith of our Fathers to share the fullness of truth with others. Whether its dating, attraction, transgender ideology, or Marian dogma, prayer, conversion - Sarah is eager to share a message of faith, hope, and love with every audience she addresses.
