Podcasts can be a great way to inject a little bit of faith, theology, and culture into your day. With so many options, it can be overwhelming. So, to help, over the next several weeks, we will be giving recommendations and descriptions of some Catholic podcasts worth checking out.

The Catholic Bytes podcast started out as a project of seminary students studying in Rome. When they graduated, they decided to continue it stateside. These five priests offer short, dynamic talks about Catholicism topics from faith fundamentals and Scripture, to saints and Church history.

Calling itself “A podcast for busy Catholics,” this podcast averages 5-10 minutes per episode. It is great for when you just have a few minutes to kill between classes or to learn a little on your way home.

In addition to their regular episodes, they have two special series. “Catholic Bytes 60 Seconds,” as the name implies, are only a minute long. The Habemus Papam series is covering all the popes from St. Peter to Pope Francis. On Itunes On PlayerFM
